After all, it isn't every day that the supreme warrior priest relaizes that he has pretty much screwed up everything. His home is gone. His followers are few, and the goddess who has given him support his entire life is strangely absent.

Things is heating up for a lot of folks. Jolsons arm, hook attached, earns a fellow some drinks, up until the hellborn take note. Then there is Helace, new queen apparent to the throne...only she has a few problems of her own. One of those happens to be the king, a fellow she is not too fond of. In fact, Helace is not happy at all, and when she is not happy, beings tend to die...painfully.

Oh goody goody, Queen Elise is finally going to have really bad things happen to her. Her husband is unhappy with her. Hellborn are unhappy with her...heck, at the moment, even she is unhappy with her. Then again, a woman is often a bit moody when her newborn child dies.

Poor Mathew. Poorer Glace. While on the way to Grace City to claim Mathew's promised kingship, and more importantly, the cure to his curse, they lose their mounts to the cold. They encounter a village full of dead people, and they make their way to a cabin occupied by two bounty hunters, their catch, a slaver, and a dandified lordling. Oh yes, along the way they pick up two strange children. It makes for a crowded cabin, but don't worry, it gets emptier real fast.

Calto is in a bit of a snit because Ani has nice new armor and a sword...when his god forged sword no longer works. He is so upset that he ignores a serious warning. Meanwhile, Omitan, the god of the forests, has a heart to heart talk with Zorce, the god of hell.
